Notes from a talk on Praying for Healing

Ken from Canada shared his perspectives on prayer for healing.

Healing is the children’s bread.

Just one healing can stir the whole community. One person leads others.

What God is doing in Cambodia is happening so fast that it is hard to keep up. People are getting saved but the leadership structure is still embryonic and emerging. Revival is messy and untidy and it doesn’t happen the way you expect. Like any birth.

Jesus said: ‘These signs will follow those who believe’, so if you are a believer, you can expect to experience these signs. Be expectant! There will be miracles and healings; physical, mental and emotional.

The demon possessed man was mentally unstable.
When you deal with a person in trouble, proclaim Christ, and get the person to confess Christ - He is the Healer.

You are living the life; modelling what a Christian life looks like, and what a family looks like.

God is greater than any problem or anything you might see. Make sure that Christ is proclaimed. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that touches people. Leave the results to Him but trust Him to use you as you make yourself available to Him.

Resistance may be encountered, but it can’t and wont prevail.
1 John 4: 4 - "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."

God puts people back in their right mind. He heals and restores all issues. There is healing of shame and hurt and disappointment for Cambodia.
Healing from:
  • The shame of not being recognised or valued
  •  The shame of Khmer Rouge and its effects
  • The shame of not having an identity; until recently, not even their own currency
  • The shame of being despised by the countries around them
The Holy Spirit is singing over Cambodia, and filling the love starvation. God wants to raise up people from within this nation. So ask God to transform and heal the minds of the people, spirit, soul and body to be preserved blameless until His return.
